The Symphony Intelligence Vector (SIV) owns future Symphony-authored semantics for agentic collaboration, extended local context, structured long-term logic, inter-agent communication, and human-directed operation at the Symphony surface. It is an emerging domain with canonical contracts but no executable implementation yet.

Scope and purpose

SIV is expected to support:
  • Local and remote agent participation in Symphony workflows
  • Extended context shared across sessions and vectors
  • Structured long-term logic for recurring or multi-step operations
  • Inter-agent communication protocols
  • Governed interaction with the Symphony command surface
SIV does not grant authority based on caller type. Human, AI, agent, and service callers are treated identically. Authority derives from target-host ownership, granted permission, requested operation, expected state, and owner-configured safeguards.

Named subvectors

SMCV

Optional Markdown conversion component. Planned as a qxctl-configurable translator above an enabled IPC connection. No SMCV command or translator is implemented yet.

SAIV

Reserved for a later Symphony intelligence-integration subvector. The reservation supplies no implementation, namespace behavior, or semantic operation.

Non-scope

SIV explicitly does not:
  • Replace vector-owned semantics (domain operations remain owned by their respective vectors even when an agent invokes them)
  • Become canonical truth or override SKV contracts
  • Enter the trading hot path
  • Make the older artificial-intelligence working paper conclusive

Current status

SIV is a canonical architecture contract only. No SIV harness, agent mail, long-term state engine, model connection, local/remote agent protocol, SAIV component, SMCV translator, or qxctl control is currently implemented.

Language boundary

No Rust requirement is established for SIV components. Component language will follow the eventual performance, portability, safety, and integration contract. It is not inherited from any working paper.

How SIV relates to other vectors

SKV

Governs SIV contracts, evolution, and official publication relationships.

SOV

May expose agent-invoked operations through qxctl while preserving vector-owned semantics.

SAV

Evaluates composition and compatibility for any agent-assembled operations.
